Many bargaining unit agreements include the option for employees to participate in a Sick Leave Bank. When an employee chooses to participate, they must contribute Accruals to the Bank as a newly hired employee and may have to contribute when the balance of the Bank gets too low or may have to withdraw from the Bank should they become ill and deplete their own Sick Accruals. In SchoolFront's Time & Attendance platform, districts have the ability to set up and manage their Sick Leave Banks, so that these contributions and withdrawals can be easily handled, and the Banks' balances are managed and maintained. This article will explain the process for the initial configuration of a Sick Leave Bank.
For further information on the process for adding or withdrawing accruals from a Sick Leave Bank, refer to this article.
