Work Locations are created during District configuration by a SchoolFront Solution Architect. These can later be added to or edited by anyone with the Administrator role in SchoolFront. Work Locations are used throughout the system, but mainly in Job Postings to indicate where the position will be located within the district. Work Locations are also used on certain forms like Mileage Claim forms so that the system can automatically calculate distance when one of the locations in the district is either a starting or ending point.

Important Tips:
It is important to add generic work locations as:
- District-Wide
- To Be Determined
- Transportation
- District Office, etc.
These locations may not have a physical address (or a different address from another already entered) but will be needed for Job Postings and Interview Scheduling. For instance, when posting a job for a recurring substitute position, the Work Location could be anywhere in the District, so the Work Location of District-Wide would be used in that Job Posting. If there is no physical address to enter for a location, enter an asterisk (*) or other non-determining character in the required fields of the form.
Please Note: Do NOT delete an existing Work Location.
This will delete the Work Location's history in the system.
