Districts that offer employees the option of participating in a Sick Leave Bank can set up their Sick Leave Banks in SchoolFront. When an employee who has opted to participate in the Sick Leave Bank for which they are eligible depletes their Sick Accruals and is approved to use time from the Sick Leave Bank, they can be granted Sick time to be used from the Sick Bank. These Accruals, when granted, will move from the Sick Leave Bank total to the employee's Accruals.

Adding Contributions
When a new employee is hired who is eligible for a particular Sick Leave Bank, their initial contribution will need to be added to the overall balance of the Bank. Additionally, when the balance of a Sick Leave Bank drops below the contractual minimum balance level, all members will need to contribute the required additional day(s) to the Sick Leave Bank to ensure the Bank stays above the minimum balance level.
- From the left navigation menu, go to Time & Attendance / Accruals:
- Click "New Leave Accrual":
- Enter the Grant Date and click "Continue":
- Select the Staff Member from the drop-down:
Note: This will be the staff member from whom the accrual will pull
- Once the staff is selected, select the Absence Code for Sick time from the drop-down menu:
- Enter the Grant Time and Select the Grant Status "New" from the drop-down:
- Select "Manual" as the Transaction Type from the drop-down:
- Select the Grant Type: "Sick Bank Contribution" from the drop-down:
- Once the above information is entered, the form should look like the example below. Enter any additional comments and click "Insert":
Withdrawing
When an employee who has opted to participate in the Sick Leave Bank for which they are eligible depletes their Sick Accruals and is approved to use time from the Sick Leave Bank, they can be granted Sick time to be used from the Sick Bank. - To make a withdrawal from a Sick Bank, follow the same steps as above until you get to "Grant Type." Select "Sick Bank Withdrawal":
- Enter any additional comments, such as to whom the Accruals are going, and click "Insert."
Verification
- Navigate to Time & Attendance / Setup / Leave Banks:
- Click on the magnifying glass next to the name of the Leave Bank and select the Transactions tab on the lower half of the screen:
