Different Types of Tasks in Onboarding Profiles
To view the type of tasks, follow steps 1-5 above and view the "Task Type" column in the Task Tab:
Digital Form - Indicates that a Form will be sent to the new hire
Forms may be routed to go to the new hire employee first, as is the case with most onboarding forms, OR may be routed to go to someone else first (like HR) if there is information to complete prior to going to the employee - such as an Offer Letter or Salary Agreement Form. Some forms may be internal and not go to the new hire at all.
Send Notification - Indicates that an email will be sent to the new hire and/or someone else
Application Signature - Indicates that the new hire's RecruitFront application will be sent to the new the new hire for them to review and sign
Manual Step - Indicates a manual Onboarding Task for someone other than the new hire employee (usually someone in HR); This could be a reminder to do something - like add the new hire to the district's financial system, OR it could be a trigger for something else such as sending the remaining Onboarding Forms when the task is marked completed
Other Types of Tasks (for further definitions) see: Task Types
Copy to Personnel Files - This tells SchoolFront to automatically copy the new hire's information from the Tracker to their new electronic personnel folder in SchoolFront
Queue for Financial Platform Feed - Tells the system to add the new hire to an export list to WinCap (for WinCap districts only) if the district arranged for the reverse direct feed from SchoolFront into WinCap
Candidate Forms to Personnel File - SchoolFront will automatically copy any of the forms created in the Tracker for the new hire, into the new hire's electronic personnel folder in SchoolFront
Profile Tasks
Task Name - Indicates the name of the Form, Notification, Manual Task, etc.
Task Profile Name - The name of the Task Profile the Task is associated with
Sort Order - The Profile Task order that it will execute in
Wait For - Indicates if the Task is waiting for another Task or Form to be completed before sending to the new hire
Automatic - If checked, the Task will initiate automatically when the new hire is hired
Disabled - Check to disable the Task within the Profile; For more information on Disabling Tasks, see How to Disable A Task – SchoolFront.
Select a Task Tag if applicable.
Tasks have a common set of attributes when assigned to a Profile. If there is a need to manually start the Tasks, select from the appropriate Default Assignment Option:
- If selecting "Staff", select the corresponding staff member from the drop-down.
- If selecting an Employee Group, click that button, and select the Employee Group from the drop-down to select the employee(s) or Employee Group assigned to the Task.
