- In the left navigation menu, got to Feature Administration > Employee Attendance > Settings >
- Define the remaining fields per your district's specifications and click "Save":
Setting Descriptions
Enabled - Enable / Disable Attendance in a District
Number of days to lock attendance - if this is a number greater than zero, all Daily Attendance will be locked after "X" days
Number of days in advance to generate leave accruals - if this number is greater than zero, leave accruals will be automatically created "X" number of days in advance of the accrual period defined within Attendance Groups
Enable Automatic Maximum Balance Adjustment - if checked, this will automatically generate the maximum balance adjustment based upon the accrual period defined within Attendance Groups
Enable Sub Finding - If this box is checked, the Sub Finding module will be activated in the District's SchoolFront system. This is the first step in the Sub Finding module configuration.
Automatically Generate Substitute Requests - When checked, this box triggers a substitute request to go out to substitutes when an employee whose position is marked as requiring a substitute, submits an Absence Request form.
Disable Work Location Preferences - When this box is checked, substitutes will not have the option to select which locations they will be available to work for within the district. If a district would like to allow substitutes to select the locations for which they would like to receive calls to substitute, this box should not be checked.
Allow Staff to Request Specific Substitute - When checked, the staff requiring the substitute while absent will be able to request a specific substitute. This option is not recommended, as a delay in a response from the specific substitute can cause a problem with sub assignment. The system will also not resend the substitute request should the requested substitute decline the job.
Only Allow Full Day Absences with Daily Attendance - If this box is checked, only full day absences will be an option when added through the Daily Attendance screen. Keep in mind this could be for an early dismissal, snow day, delayed opening, etc.
Attendance Grid Pre-Filter (Days) - This is the number of days of Attendance transactions that will be displayed when a user navigates to Time & Attendance / Attendance. The greater the number of days, the slower the grid will be to load. Ninety (90) days is most commonly used.
