The configuration of Pay Periods are required for any district using Timekeeping. Pay Periods determine the start of a new pay period, when it ends, how many days are in a Pay Period, and its Pay Date. Pay Periods are typically extended each year when the Pay Schedule becomes available for the new school year rather than creating new Pay Periods.

In the above example, the system would create 53, 7 Day Pay Periods, starting on "Pay Period End Date" + 1 (12/29/2024) forward in time (below).
Adding Pay Periods to an Existing Pay Period Group
If the system runs out of Pay Periods, you will no longer be able to create Timecards! To avoid this, periodically (usually every school year) add Pay Periods to your existing Pay Period group(s). The instructions below describe that process.
- Navigate to Feature Administration > Employee Attendance > Pay Periods > [Pay Period Name] > Pay Period tab
- Scroll to the LAST Pay Period which should be the first row on the list
- Note [End Date] and [Pay Date]. In our example:
- End Date = 1/4/2026
- Pay Date = 1/16/2026
- Calculate values for the new Pay Periods(s) using the above information. This example assumes the length of the Pay Period and Pay Dates are not changing (but they can):
- Pay Period End Date = [End Date] + [Pay Period Length (in days)] = 1/11/2026
- Pay Period Pay Date = [Pay Date] + [Pay Period Length (in days)] = 1/23/2026
- Quantity of Additional Pay Periods to Insert = 52
- Pay Period Length (in days) = 7
- Click
- Enter values for the new Pay Periods. For our example above:
- Pay Period End Date = 1/11/2026
- Pay Period Pay Date = 1/16/2026
- Quantity of Additional Pay Periods to Insert = 52
- Pay Period Length (in days) = 7
- Click [Save]
