A "Child" form is a form that is created off of a "Parent" form, as it contains specific fields/information from the Parent form. When you create a Parent/Child Relationship, when the Parent form is completed a Child form can be automatically sent or you can manually initiate it.
Initiate Child Forms Manually
Navigate to Process Forms - Forms Pending My Approval:
Click "Generate Related Form":
Select the Child Form and make any necessary changes to the form and click "Create Form(s)" and it will initiate the Child Form:
Initiating Child Forms Automatically as a Task Profile
When there's a need for multiple Child forms, then a Child form can be created as an automatic profile task. From the left navigation menu, go to Task Management - Task Profiles - Profile Tasks:

Click on "New Task" from the Task Management grid:
Next, select "Digital Form" from the Task Type drop-down menu, select the Form Category from the drop-down menu, then select your first Child form from the drop down. Enter the Form name as the Task name and click the radio button you need, (in this example New Hire) and click Insert (or Insert and Add another if there are more forms to add).
Creating the Automatic Task Profile for Child Forms
From the left navigation menu, go to Task Managment - Task Profiles - Task Profiles:
Click "New Task Profile" and enter the name of the new profile (something that indicates what it is for). Select "Both" as the Task Use Type and click "Insert":
Click the Tasks tab, then click on "New Profile Task":
Check the "Automatic" box and select any boxes for Child forms that you would like to automatically be created when the Parent form is completed and click "Insert":
Set up Parent Form to Kick Off New Profile(s) with Child Forms:
When the fields are complete, and a Parent form is submitted, the form goes through the approval routing. Once the last approver approves the form, the Task Profile for the Child forms are then triggered and initiated. Depending on the type of form, it may be initiated from Available Forms as part of an Onboarding Profile, or from Active Employees. When the Parent form is completed the Child Forms are created and those forms begin their approval routing process.
Navigate to Process Forms - Form Management:
Click the magnifying glass on the original Parent form and click edit:
From the Task Profile on Complete drop-down menu, select the newly created Task Profile and click "Save":
When the Parent form is fully approved, the task profile for the Child form(s) will be kicked off automatically and the Child form(s) will be created.
