Print to SchoolFront is an incredibly useful and helpful extension to the SchoolFront application. Print to SchoolFront allows your users to upload files directly to employees' personnel folders. This should only be utilized by SchoolFront users who have employee files on their PC that need to be uploaded into the system. In order to install Print to SchoolFront, your IT administrator must complete the installation process. IT Administrator, please see instructions below.

System Requirements
Print to SchoolFront only functions on Windows operating systems. It does not work on Chromebook or Mac PCs.
We recommend Windows 10 or newer. Older OS versions may cause Print to SchoolFront to not work properly if used.
Install Procedure
- If your district receives SchoolFront support from a BOCES, contact BOCES for access to the installation file. If you receive SchoolFront support directly through SchoolFront, and your district was provided with a SharePoint site, obtain the installation file from the SharePoint site.
- Ensure that you have v105.exe.
- Please contact support HERE if you have an earlier version.
- Download the .exe file onto a flash drive or directly onto the user’s PC.
- If the.exe file is downloaded onto a flash drive, the file can be easily accessed and installed onto multiple PCs without logging into SharePoint.
- Run the .exe file and finish installing the application.
- Reboot your PC.
- Open a test file/document.
- Press the Print button.
- Select SCHOOLFRONT from the printer list.
- Once into the application, the user must fill out their username and password for SchoolFront.
- If your district uses SSO and you do not have a SchoolFront password, please contact support HERE.
- The user should now be able to upload documents to user's personnel folders that they have access to.
Common Errors

Error 1:
If this error is displayed, try right-clicking on the .exe file and running the program as an administrator.
If the error still occurs, please reach out to support HERE.
Error 2:
If this error is displayed, press the settings button and verify that your username and password are correct.
If your district uses SSO and you do not have a SchoolFront password, please contact support HERE.
Error 3:
If this error is displayed, the roles you have within SchoolFront do not allow you to use Print to SchoolFront.
You must either have a high-level role with unlimited access to all personnel folders and users or a low-level role with access to specific personnel folders.
Error 4:
If this error is displayed, try right-clicking on the .exe file and running the program as an administrator. If the error still occurs, please reach out to support HERE.
Error 5:
If this error is displayed, press the settings button and verify that your username and password are correct.
If your district uses SSO and you do not have a SchoolFront password, please contact support HERE.
Error 6:
If this error is displayed, you did not reboot your PC after installation.
Please try rebooting your PC, if the error persists, please contact support HERE.
Error 7:
In some cases, if the original document being saved through Print to SchoolFront is an encrypted or password protected PDF with limits on functionality such as whether the file is allowed to be printed, it can result in errors in the output file such as seen below.
If this happens you may either save the PDF directly to the employee's personnel folder or disable the password protection or limits on functionality for the file before using Print to SchoolFront to save the file into the personnel folder(s).
