Custom Tabs are created by your Solution Architect, as they are permanent, and then added to your district employee file tabs.
The Import Tool allows you to mass import data into custom employee tabs, through an excel spreadsheet. The Import Tool allows the district to choose the column data to match against, as the excel column sheet headings MUST match the heading fields in the custom tab. It is also suggested that the district use the Staff ID or Last Name and First Name as the Identifier.
You can also export data from SchoolFront Forms (it must be a read-only grid) into an excel sheet and then that information can be imported into the custom tab.

In the left navigation menu, navigate to Human Resources>Import/Export>Export/Import Employees:
Once there, go to the "Employee Custom Tab Import Section"
Click inside the box circled above to insert or drag and drop the file you wish to use:
Once uploaded, click "Preview Employee Custom Tab Import".
*It is important that the excel headings match your field headings in your custom tabs*
If the data imported correctly, click "Import Data" under the Import Preview and you will see the Import Summary confirming your data is now in the system.
Now you can see the information in the custom employee tab. If changes to the information need to be made, or the custom tab has been created with editable fields, click the edit link:
Once changes have been made, click save:
