Staff Evaluation Standards are organized under Staff Evaluation Categories. Evaluation standards are a set of expectations and levels that comprise a rubric. To effectively define a Staff Evaluation Standard, you must specify a clear Standard Name, assign it to an appropriate category, and provide a concise description to ensure clarity in performance expectations and consistent application across evaluations.

Create Staff Assessment Standards
- Navigate to Staff Evaluations / Evaluation Setup / Staff Evaluation Standards
- Click "New Staff Assessment Standard" to add a new one, or click the magnifying glass to edit it through the details tab:

Enter information in the following fields, those Noted with an * are required
- Enter the Staff Assessment Standard Name
- Select the Staff Assessment Standard Category from the drop-down menu
- Enter the Staff Assessment Standard Description
- Click Insert (if editing, these fields are editable - when changes are made, click "Save")
The Standard Builder - Assessment Standard Expectations & Levels
Once a Staff Assessment Standard has been defined in the above steps, you now will refine its components by clicking the Standard Builder link in the Details tab to define the standard's expectations and levels:
New Standard Expectation

On the next page, select "New Standard Expectation"
- Enter the Expectation Name (Required) and Description

Click "Applicable by Default"
- Click "Insert"
New Expectation Level
For each Standard Expectation, an expectation level must be set. There are typically 4 expectation levels, with a scoring of 1-4, these should describe the level of the rating so that the employee can understand why the rating would apply. You can customize the expectation levels based off the evaluation model.
- Click "New Expectation Level"
- Enter the Expectation Level Name (Required)
- Enter the Score

Enter the Expectation Level Description
- Click Insert
Continue to add New Standard Expectations and Levels to each Staff Assessment Standard following the above instructions.

Editing Standard Expectations and Expectation Levels
- To edit Standard Expectation or Expectation Level, click the Pencil Icon (to delete, click the red X)
- Clicking the pencil Icon under the grid will allow you to add Expectation Criteria for the Level and Expectation
- Make necessary changes and click "Save"
- Once completed, click "Return to Standard Manager"
- To edit a Staff Assessment Standard, click "Edit" (click "Delete" to delete it)
- You can mark the Staff Assessment Standard as archived if it will no longer be used.
Note: This option should be used for any Standards that have been tied to Rubrics or used historically to maintain data integrity.
