What is it:
Reapply Parameters gives users in charge of timecards the ability to refresh the timecard and pull in new data that was changed elsewhere in the system.
When the "Reapply Parameters" button is clicked, a modal will be displayed to the user. The user will be able to check 1-7 check boxes where each corresponds to a 'parameter' or 'parameter set' that can be reapplied to the specified timecard. An 8th option appears on this list and is specifically for removing overrides, more information can be found below:
- "Work Calendar": When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the work calendar and recalculate appropriately.
- "Work Schedule": When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the work schedule and recalculate appropriately.
- "Base Pay Rates": When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the pay rate and recalculate appropriately.
- "Pay Modifier Group": When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the pay modifier group and recalculate appropriately.
- "Absence Requests": (All "pending" and "approved") When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the absence requests and recalculate appropriately.
- "Position Details" : When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the position details and recalculate appropriately.
- "Position/Staff Details". : When this parameter is selected the timecard will re-consume the staff details and recalculate appropriately.
- Cancel all overrides: The selection and subsequent confirmation of this choice will remove ALL inline overrides from the entire timecard both in the main body AND in the totals tab.
Why use it:
Between the time the timecard was created until the time it is approved/locked, changes that affect timecard calculations could have changed. Please use the reapply parameters function if the timecard you are viewing seems to be missing information that you expect to be there. This information must correlate to one of the 7 main parameter sets such as Work Calendar, Work Schedule, Pay Rates, Pay Modifier Groups, Absence Requests, Position Details, or Position Staff Details.
How to use it:
If the timecard you are viewing seems to be missing information that you expect to be there, try reapplying parameters. Follow the instructions below to learn how:
- Login to SchoolFront as Admin or Business Office.
- Go to “Time & Attendance” -> “Time Cards”.
- Check the box next to a staff member.
- Press the “Time Cards” button above the grid.
- If the time card is unlocked, skip step 6.
- If the time card is locked:
- Admin – Someone with the Business Office role must complete this action for you.
- Business Office – Press the “Unlock” button above the timecard.
- Press “Reapply Parameters” button above the timecard.
- Check boxes next to the parameters you would like to reapply.
- See changes made earlier, are now applied to the timecard.
