This option should be used if the employee was placed in the wrong position and all of the data needs to be moved to a new position. If an employee is starting a new job, use End or Change Position feature. This option should be used rarely, and will typically be selected if there is a setup issue with the employee.
• Navigate to Time & Attendance > Staff and filter on employee with incorrect position
• Click on magnifying glass in employee row
• Click on End or Change Position link
• Click on Move this position check box
• Select correct position from Position dropdown list
• Click on Move button
• Click on Yes button under “Confirm Move”
Verify successful move to correct Position -
o Navigate to Time & Attendance > Staff and filtering on employee
o Check to ensure that PositionName has been updated
Verify that all Accruals are associated with the new Position –
o Navigate to Time & Attendance > Attendance > Accruals and filter on employee
o Check to ensure that all Accruals are for new Position
Verify that balances are correct for new Position –
o Navigate to Time & Attendance > Attendance > Employee Balances and filter on employee
o Check to ensure that Position Name has been changed to new Position and all Employee Balances look correct
